It's going to be tough!
- Liam Slatem

The Club wishes to congratulate Dylan Rogers, Jack Delaforce, Liam Slatem, Alexander Post, and Benjamin Roberts for their inclusion in the Hong Kong National squad that travels to the Rarotonga to take on the Cook Islands this Saturday (30th June) in the first leg of a home/away Rugby World Cup qualifier series.

Richard Cooke (no relation to the islands) will manage the squad and former Senior Section Head Coach, Andrew Hall, is the forwards coach.

The Cook Islands may be ranked world number 54 but they have gained access to at least five professional players from the France Top 14 League.

Hong Kong (21) have just come off a successful Asia Rugby Championship campaign defeating South Korea and Malaysia twice each during May/June and carry good momentum into the two match series.

The winner of the series will progress to the last-chance-saloon repecharge in France in November.

The return match will be played at the HKFC on July 7th at 4.30pm. This is a great chance for all rugby fans to get along and support this RWC campaign. get your tickets now.

Best of luck to the entire squad and coaching staff on this epic challenge!
