The Vikings were sitting in second place after round one of the Premiership A competition, with the match against Kerry Hotel Kowloon Rugby 2 missed due to some political turmoil in Hong Kong. Coaches Thierry and Ian were hard at work preparing the Vikings for round two of the competition, with primary focus on table leaders Natixis HKFC Dragons and Kerry Hotel Kowloon Rugby 2 who sits third on the table. The Vikings entered the second round, with a large two week break due to unforeseen events, refreshed and well prepared. With a dry-club day taking place at our secondary home pitch, support was high. Coaches Thierry and Ian, were on top of the week of training and preparation and the Vikings walked into the match against the Borrelli Walsh USRC Tigers 2 with confidence and ferocity.
The Vikings turn up the heat with six tries in the first half, with four converted by Ed Nethersole. Two tries came from Brandon Bellamin and tries from Alexis Brochet, Jules Gallay and Alberic Renividaud. With the half time whistle, the score was 33 - 0 to the Vikings and the Tigers were beginning to lose their footing. As the second half began, Jules Gallay scores another try, with Ed Nethersole converting. Bringing Jules Galley to two alongside Brandon Bellamin. Shortly after the try, Alberic Renividaud receives an unfortunate yellow card, despite his stellar performance throughout the game. The Tigers utilize this opportunity and scores two tries, with one of them being converted. Before the full time whistle, Connor Schmidt claims another try for the Vikings with Ed Nethersole slotting the extra two points. Bringing the game to 49 to 12.
