So excited for the season ahead!

The girls understood that the day was meant to be fun and it was just a bonus that we did end up with a 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th place!!!! Just Amazing.

NetFest Saturday 17th September - Results.

The coach and parents were just so proud of the girls that were able to join NetFest. We had 4 of our 6 teams in the pre season tournament:

U12 Sandy Bay Ruby - came 2nd by just 1 goal !
U14 Sandy Bay Opals - came 1st & U14 Sandy Bay Amethyst 6th

It was pointed out by Sandy Bay stalwarts Carsten Bo Skoett and Gil Schorr that club history was made by the Opals - it was not until their 4th game of the tournament that a single goal was scored against them ! Over 50 minutes of playing.

U16 Sandy Bay Diamonds - came 4th - at the time the due to heat the semi was called off and just the final was played.

The update from Coach Caitlyn,

As a club, we want to be known as the teams that everyone wants to play because we play clean, competitive netball while having fun. Today our girls stepped up to make sure that we will be. Their attitude on and off the court was just amazing and really it surprised me considering they really haven’t had time to bond as teammates yet. It was hot, humid and we didn’t have our kit, yet it didn’t matter, the girls understood that the day was meant to be fun and it was just a bonus that we did end up with a 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th place!!!! Just Amazing.

I can not wait to have ALL our girls in their kit and representing our new club. We missed those not with us today and look forward to getting them on the court soon.

Parents, thank you for making it such a wonderful day. Your support and encouragement on the sidelines was spectacular. It has been noted that we had parent volunteers sign up to help even though we are a new club.

When we put forward to create a ‘team’ for some old netball friends, I could never have guessed that it would become a ‘club’. So many have stepped up to help and I just want to take this moment to thank you all.

Looking forward to seeing the girls at training this week and so excited for the season ahead!!!
