A strong second half shows the vikings pull a convincing win.

Herbert Smith Freehills HKU Sandy Bay Vikings vs Bloomberg Hong Kong Scottish Nomads.

With a couple of wins under the viking's belt, they were confident heading into the fixture against the Bloomberg Hong Kong Scottish Nomads. The well deserve break over the Rugby World Cup Final, was well deserved and much needed to recover the weary body of the vikings players. Coaches Thierry and Ian were both hard at work, looking to increase their edge over the other teams in the Premiership A circuit.

Victor Thomazo and Salafai Mika take up the 1 and 3 shirts, while Hugo Denness returns as the link between the two. Sean Casey and James Rees were in the engine room showing their hard work ethic. While the loose trio Felix Bravi, Frank Cartwright and Jules Gallay secure the scrum. William Tope takes the scrum half duty with Tomak Tsang absent, linking with Ed Nethersole at fly half, with Jonathan Poon dropping onto the wing. The new signing of Fereidoun Tuiletufuga at inside centre, is joined with Alberic Renividaud. Steadfast Rodrigo Castanheira on the wing and Maxime Guerrero drops to the 15 shirt. Veteran Tony Falso, Ben Featherstone and Ash Hyde makes it back into Vikings colour on the bench, alongside Vikings debutant Jack Metters. With Lawrence Tuck returning from injury and sitting on the bench.

As the kick off began, there was a deadlock between the two teams, both unable to convert points while in each others halves. Until the dead lock was broken with the nomads conceding a penalty try, which brought the game up to 7 - 0 to the vikings. With one minute to go in the first half, Ben Featherstone carries over the score line and claims his first vikings point and Jack Metters converts the extra two points. Bringing the score to 14 - 0 to the vikings, when the half time whistle blows.

As the second half gets underway, Jack Metters dots behind the line and scores his first try for the Vikings troop and converts his own try. Frenchman Felix Bravis makes the run and manages to increase the points by 5, with two extra converted by Jack Metters. With a total of 28 points unanswered for The Scottish seemed defeated but they managed to pull out 2 tries, with one of them unconverted. Bringing the score to 12 points to 28 for the Vikings. The Vikings still ready for more, turn up the heat and put three more tries down before the final whistle through Ash Hyde, Felix Bravi and Jack Metters, with two of them converted. The nomads were only able to add one more converted try to their tally before the final whistle. With the match over, the final score was 19 - 47 to the Vikings.
