U16B lose to FC but reach the Semis

Sandy Bay boys lost their game to Football Club in a much-anticipated rematch.

Though this was their second defeat against FC, the hard work and improvements the boys have put in since are beginning to pay off. The defeat was not as severe as before, and even then, the result did not reflect the tough side FC had to overcome to beat Sandy Bay. The FC team were really rattled and worried, resorting to shouting and insulting each other in order to try and keep on top of the situation, whereas the Sandy Bay boys kept calm and serene, organising themselves professionally to counter the opposition. In the end FC were able to exploit the few mistakes the Sandy Bay boys made to widen the score.

Sandy Bay can console itself by guaranteeing themselves a place in the semi-finals to be held after the Christmas break.

On a sadder note, the boys have said goodbye to 2 long term key players, Alex Carter & Sam Johnson, who are leaving Hong Kong to pastures new. As a consolation and a reminder of what they have achieved, the boys took group photo with the many trophies won over the previous seasons.
