We have the pleasure of welcoming you ‘Back to the Bay’

Bring your smiles, energy and passion for the game.

On behalf of Sandy Bay RFC, we have the pleasure of welcoming you ‘Back to the Bay’ this Sunday for the Sandy Bay Minis festival!

It’s been WAY too long since we welcomed you to our rugby home, but we’re thrilled to now and give as many kids a chance to experience the festival atmosphere (i.e. why we’re inviting you, not our Dad)! Here are a few things we’d ask EVERYONE coming to make Sunday a special day to remember.

For the Parents…

Public transport or taxis are better, but Cyberport has 2hrs free parking + a shuttle bus to the ground. Big hint…don’t try to park next to the ground…
We’re all for equality so it’s a 1 parent per child rule….which basically allows more kids to play!
There may be queues, so get your LHS App and HKRU access card ready. Gates open at 7am…
There are loads of signs to help get to pitches + remind you of distancing, so keep us all safe and please follow them.
A new feature (we hope to NEVER use again) is the exclusion zones between pitches – pls go around them; they exist for your own safety.
We LOVE your encouragement, so please cheer us on, but leave the refs alone – they have enough to deal with already ?

For the Kids…

Bring your smiles, energy and passion for the game. This is all about YOUR rugby experience, not the result!
For any bumps, two medi tents can help solve injuries that water and a sponge cannot…
Rugby is tiring, so bring your reusable bottle for the free Life Solutions water points, and despite restrictions, food is available at the Energy Café and Dough Bros stand near Pitch 3 + extra drinks at Pitch 1. Cyberport also has more choice.
If you fancy yourself, take on Sandy Bay’s Prem players in the Fun Zones (they have pads, so don’t hold back!)

You get to watch us play rugby AND give back in three ways…by bringing old rugby kit to donate to our Laos Rugby campaign, by checking out the ImpactHK stand, to learn about their fabulous work, and buy pizzas as 10% of Dough Bros sales go to ImpactHK!

Thanks all for coming. There will be 395 games and 205 teams playing…. it takes a village to make the magic happen, so thank you to Segantii Capital Management, our other generous sponsors and all the amazing volunteers, especially our Festival Chair, Yves Bernard, Eleanor Cherry and the Committee who have given their time and effort to bring Rugby Back to the Bay.

See you Sunday!!
