Herbert Smith Freehills HKU Sandy Bay take on HKFC this Saturday at in the first round of the Kerry Hotel Cup at Happy Valley.
Both teams are coming into the match in decent form with Sandy Bay securing an epic win over Kowloon a fortnight ago, while HKFC have continued their impressive early season form with an away victory over Valley.
With the national rep boys away on World Cup duty, the Cup represents a great opportunity for some of the younger boys and the guys coming back from injury to put their hands up for selection, and of course for the team to maintain momentum going into the remainder of the premiership season.
There are no easy games, however, and old rivals Football Club will test Sandy Bay's depth and resilience to the limits.
There are two changes to the pack with Ash Hyde coming into loosehead and the formidable frame of Damian 'Moses' Bailey packing down at number eight. In the backs, Jack 'Austin Healey' Metters switches to scrum half, Stuart 'Le Petit General' Black comes onto the left wing while the Swedish Viking (aka Jonathan Cimmerback) cuts a sharp line into the outside centre berth.
The match kicks off at 4.30pm at Happy Valley Pitch 6.
Please come on down and support the lads and enjoy a quality game of rugger.
As always, bring the family along!
Come on the bay!
