The Saxo Capital Markets Men's Premiership drops down this weekend with an explosive Super Saturday to get all six teams out of the blocks at King’s Park.
Each team would’ve sorely missed last weekends missed opportunities for a final tune up in the Challenge Trophy prior to the big dance of the Premiership. It wasn’t to be as Hong Kong locked down amidst a weekend of disruption across the territory.
Herbert Smith Freehills HKU Sandy Bay will face Natixis HKFC in the final match of the day at 6:30pm with both sides wheeling the big guns out. The two sides met in the opening round of the Challenge Trophy with the men from Sports Road getting over the Bay by 50-19.
Brett Wilkinson’s squad will face this challenge head on, having beaten HK Scottish two weekends earlier and appearing to build some momentum. On the same weekend, HKFC went down to Valley for their first loss of the season.
There are some big match ups across the park in this clash. HKFC bring one of the strongest midfield pairings to the party but both sides will field formidable spines, in shirts 2, 8, 9, 10 and 15 but both also have capable packs and pace out wide.
It should be a cracker. Get along and support the teams tomorrow.
