The season comes to a close, with the Sandy Bay Under 13 boys dominating the opposition in both 12 a side and 15 a side rugby.
Throughout the season, their hard work and commitment to training has always paid off. There have been some tough games, facing valiant opponents, but the boys have kept their nerve and never stopped fighting back.
The A team finished the 12s season with 12 wins 1 draw and 1 loss and wrapped up the 15s season with 7 wins and 1 loss. The B team finished the 12s season undefeated with 11 wins and 1 draw and matched the A teams record of 7 wins and 1 loss in the 15s league.
Overall, out of 42 games, that gives us 37 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses for the whole season, fantastic effort everyone!
A special mention to the boys from the Macau Bats who came over to play with us, and really integrated themselves into the squad. They added a huge contribution to the teams and we couldn’t have had as much success without them.
We now switch the focus 7s. Some of the boys will be travelling to Macau on the 23rd for a round of friendlies with the Macau Bats and the Sai Kung Stingrays. Then everyone is gearing up for the main U13s Sevens competition on 31st of March.
