U12G - Kim Lam Cup Round 4

Team 1 had a slow start to Round 4 (as seems to be Sandy Bay way) with a 1-1 draw against a much improved Valley Fort.

Game 2 we woke up and beat Football Club 3-0.

Game 3 we played the newly promoted Sai Kung stingrays and amongst our 7-0 we got two lovely try’s out wide through ball retention and passing.

The last game was against a team that had beat us in the last tournament DB BABAs. We have had this match in mind with our change of players and positions. We went on to play some very good rugby, including two Ella crash ball try’s from our first set piece penalty play. Zanzi got a typical 8 man try from the back of a 5 m scrum, and other try’s from some good retention. 18 try’s for and 2 against. Plenty of player positional awareness coaching needed, back line rush defence got better and still needs work.

Overall pleasing tournament bearing in mind the positional changes and players coming up to the higher level. Other teams however, namely valley fort have also stepped up. (It will be interesting to see valley fort results today compared to previous tournaments)
