The new season has got off to a great start for the Sandy Bay U14 Boys. Full pitch, 15 a side friendly for the Premiership with our friends from Valley Fort. The boys played splendidly putting into practice lessons and techniques perfected during training. Some classic moves, great tenacity and some excellent teamwork gave us a fantastic result. We won’t mention scores as it was a friendly and we don’t want to upset Valley, but let us say think of Wales-Georgia…
The Championship team continued in the same vein dominating the Valley side for a closer, but still dominating win in a 12 a side game on half a pitch. All the greater that Valley had to field some Prems players to make up numbers. As numbers are a bit short for both Valley and ourselves, we plan to put in a joint team in this year’s Championship. Seeing how close both teams are in ability this will be a sure success to repeat our no loss record of last year.
A special mention must go to our teammates from the Macau Bats who will be joining us again this season. Thanks lads for making the effort to come over, and especially thanks for the valuable contribution you make to our teams.
