On 'Super Sunday', the Sandy Bay boys U14s premiership team chalked up another victory to march on to the three quarters stage of the season. This win -- their most convincing of the seven -- was particularly satisfying given the large number of squad players who stepped in ably to allow for ample rotations and rest.
On a sunny afternoon at Sha Wan Drive, the U14 boys kicked off the day's triple header by running in three tries within the first ten minutes, two of which were from players who had hitherto not scored this season. After the blistering the start, the boys had to defend their line stoutly as they came under an intense period of pressure from the USRC Tigers. Concentrated defending, however, allowed Sandy Bay to tame the Tigers' roar, and from that point on it was one way traffic. Five tries in each half led to a final scoreline of 62-0.
