With their win over the Football Club, Sandy Bay U14 Boys seal their win of the Premiership.
In a tough game Football Club flew out of the blocks and really tested the team around the park. The boys had to defend their try line numerous times and did that superbly to keep Football Club out. When they retained the ball for a few periods of play and moved it out wide, Sandy Bay looked very threatening and scored a some great tries. Fantastic effort by all boys involved today with a special mention to Andrew for getting all 4 tries today!
Still with 1 game to go against the Stingrays, The U14 Boys have a crushing 45 points overall and a 16 point lead on our closest rivals the Football Club. That's 9 games won out of 9 and at least 4 tries in each game, this explains the massive 350 game points scored. A clear 150 game points more than our nearest rivals, the Peninsula Barbarians.
This is not only down to individual playing ability, but the working together as a team. Watching the boys play, you can see that they are really enjoying themselves.
This tremendous result for the boys would not have been possible without the dedication, passion and guidance of their coach Bill Brant.
