Entering the second round of their league competition, the Sandy Bay boys U14s premiership team recorded another bonus-point win.
This game, their first of the season played during mid-week and under the lights, was against the same opponents as Sunday -- Peninsula Barbarians. The scoreline was similarly close as both teams scored four tries apiece.
Controlled play, a strong work ethic, and contributions from the whole squad saw Sandy Bay 14s cross the line 24-22. Unlike on Sunday, Sandy Bay only fell behind once and kept a firm grip of the game for much of the 50 minutes, to run out deserved winners.
This gives us a 7 point lead (30) against the second placed Football Club (23), and a massive 148 points difference, with Valley the closest at 48PD
