Another tough one for Sandy Bay U16 Prems. We dominated a breathless physical battle in the first half with the match almost entirely played in the Football Club half. The forward banged hard but could not get across the line. We were desperately unlucky not to have any points of the board for such a dominant half. Went into the break at nil-nil in a thoroughly engrossing encounter under blue skies down at Sandy Bay.

But the boys could not sustain the level of effort, commitment and snarl after the break and once Football Club ran in a couple of solo tries, it was going to be tough road back. The scoreline flattered in the end and doesn't reflect the stand out tackling, excellent scrummaging and strong carries throughout the day. A lot of positives to carry forward. Onwards we go...
